Health Mart Healthy Living Tour Provides More Than 140 Complimentary Health Screenings at Seven North Carolina Community Pharmacies Ms. Laurel Getz, Senior Manager, Communications, EMG3 – A TideSmart Company During the first two weeks of April 2015, seven independently-­‐owned community pharmacies in North Carolina offered complimentary health screenings to more than 140 customers during stops from the Health Mart Healthy Living Tour. The Tour utilizes a 40-­‐foot mobile, health-­‐screening unit and travels across the country to celebrate and recognize community pharmacists and the important role they play as trusted healthcare providers in their communities. independent pharmacies attract new customers and maximize the value of existing customers through marketing support. At each stop, Tour staff can conduct more than 35 screenings per visit, targeting risks associated with high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol and obesity. Pharmacy locations in North Carolina included; The Drug Store in Lincolnton, Moss Drug in Gastonia, Giant Genie Midwood in Charlotte, Giant Genie Monroe in Monroe, Eden Drug in Eden, Medical Park Pharmacy in Morehead City and Medical Park & Home Medical in Morehead City. The Tour will conduct more than 180 health screening events at Health Mart® Pharmacies across the country.
