1. Purchasing Power Parities (PPPs) are currency conversion rates that applied in order to convert economic indicators from national currency to an artificial common currency, called the Purchasing Power Standard (PPS), which equalizes the purchasing power of different national currencies and enables meaningful volume comparisons between countries. 2. Purchasing Power Standard (PPS) is an artificial reference currency unit that eliminates price level differences between countries. Thus one PPS buys the same volume of goods and services in all countries. This unit allows meaningful volume comparison of economic indicators across countries. Aggregates expressed in PPS are derived by dividing aggregates in current prices and national currency by the respective Purchasing power Parity (PPP) 3. The figures are based on the latest GDP data for 2008 and the most recent PPPs available. Revised estimates will be published in December 2009. 4. 4. The high level of GDP per inhabitant in Luxembourg is partly due to the large share of cross-border workers in total employment. While contributing to GDP, they are not taken into consideration as part of the resident population which is used to calculate GDP per inhabitant. 5. 5. The figure for Montenegro is based on a preliminary Eurostat estimate of GDP. 2 GDP per inhabitant in PPS, 2008, EU 27 = 100 BDP po stanovniku u SKM, 2008, EU 27 = 100 Zemlje Europske unije: Luxemburg4 Irska Nizozemska Austrija Švedska Danska Velika Britanija Finska Njemaka Belgija Francuska Španija Italija EU 27 Grka Cipar Slovenija eška republika Malta Portugal Slovaka Estonija Maarska Litvanija Poljska Latvia Rumunija Bugarska Zemlje kandidati: Hrvatska Turska Makedonija Zemlje EFTA: Norveška Švicarska Island Zemlje Zapadnog Balkana: Crna Gora5 Srbija Bosna i Hercegovina Albanija European union counties: Luxembourg4 Ireland Netherlands Austria Sweden Denmark United Kingdom Finland Germany Belgium France Spain Italy EU 27 Greece Cyprus Slovenia Czech Republic Malta Portugal Slovakia Estonia Hungary Lithuania Poland Latvia Romania Bulgaria 253 140 135 123 121 119 117 116 116 115 107 104 100 100 95 95 90 80 76 75 72 67 63 61 57 56 46 40 Candidate countries: Croatia Turkey FYROM EFTA countries: Norway Switzerland Iceland Western Balkan countries: Montenegro5 Serbia Bosnia and Herzegovina Albania 63 45 32 190 141 119 46 37 30 25 3 253 140 135 123 121 119 117 116 116 115 107 104 100 100 95 95 90 80 76 75 72 67 63 61 57 56 46 40 63 45 32 190 141 119 46 37 30 25 Izdaje i štampa/tiska: Agencija za statistiku BiH, Sarajevo, Zelenih beretki 26 Published and printed by Agency for Statistics of BiH, Sarajevo, Zelenih beretki 26 Telefon: +387 33 22 06 26, Fax: +387 33 22 06 22, E-mail: [email protected] Phone: +387 33 22 06 26 Fax: +387 33 22 06 22 E-mail: [email protected] ba Saopštenje /priopenje sastavila: Dijana Mlikota Prepared by :Dijana Mlikota Odgovora: Zdenko Milinovi, ravnatelj/direktor Authorized: Zdenko Milinovi, director Tiraž: 100 Circulation: 100 Periodika izlaženja: godišnja Periodicity: annualy Podaci iz ovog saopštenja/priopenja objavljuju se i na internetu Data of First Release are also published on the internet.
