RELKIT 33e
Power supply capacitor Relkit for Grundig GDS3000/Thomson DSI410
This kit is for the PSSH370603A PSU made by Samsung (it has REV2.0 printed in a corner) & PSSH370604A.
These PSUs are interchangeable with each other but NOT with other PSUs. Kit also suitable for DHD4000.

IC101. . . . . 1M0365R (TO-220 in PSSH370603A) 5M0365R (8-pin DIL in PSSH370604A).
§ Note: all capacitors rated at 105°C. Some have a higher voltage rating or capacitance than originals, to improve ESR
value.
* Important: some capacitors may hold a charge for hours after power is disconnected. These can safely be discharged
with a resistor of around 10 Ohms. Alternatively, shorting across with pliers is acceptable but only for capacitors
which are going to be replaced!
OBSERVE STATIC HANDLING PRECAUTIONS
To avoid damage to semiconductors, observe the normal rules with regard to electrostatic charge.
Since the end result depends upon your own skill and fault finding ability, the supplier will
accept no responsibility for loss, damage or injury caused by your use of this kit. This
information is the best available at the time of writing (Dec 2008).
The black lines on the PCB indicate the negative (stripe) wire of the capacitor! See blue stripes on photo, below.
Where capacitors are glued together, you can either cut the glue with a sharp knife or desolder all the glued parts,
remove them as a cluster, then separate and replace the parts which don't need to be changed.
As capacitors supplied tend to be slightly wider than originals, fit largest first, bend wires over to hold them, and solder
when they are all positioned neatly. Make sure capacitor metal cans can not overlap any component leads and short
circuit.
The multi-pin plug connecting the power supply output to the main board can develop bad connections. This fault can
be alleviated by bending the pins slightly. You can also spray a little WD-40 on the pins then work the plug up and
down several times to clean the contacts. Finally, you can solder a wire to the copper track that joins the black wire
pins together beneath the PSU and solder its other end to the nearest corner of the tuner module.

Thomson DHD-4000 Important Notes
C203 and C211 (1500uF) are physically too high and foul on the box lid. They have to be soldered
on long legs then folded over the other capacitors and components, which themselves have to be
mounted leaning over to make space. C101 only just fits; the lid scrapes the top of it. Please fix a
suitable piece of insulating material to the lid to ensure that the capacitor can not make contact.
