CHARACTERISTIC FEATURES
The RSI-iss type distribution box with line separator is suitable for galvanic separation of line sections connecting the loudspeaking GTL (GTL/w) communication devices. The box is installed in the line, each 8 maximum GTL (GTL/w) devices cooperating within one control circuit. This box separates two 5-wire line sections of the „a”, „c”, „d”, „0” & „+” lines to which the
GTL (GTL/w) devices are connected, supplied from different power supplies ensuring an intrinsic safety. In case of cable
damage it prevents a short-circuit of the power supply outlet circuits. Use of additional terminals (1 ÷ 14) enables using the
RSI-iss box for embranchment of intrinsically safe circuits for the voltage up to 60 V. The embranchment box with the line
separator can be used in the loud-speaking communication GTL/w circuits only. When supplied from the intrinsically safe
line power supplies, it has the M2 category, and after switching-off the line power supply it becomes the M1 category device.
STRUCTURE
The embranchment box consists of:
• Plastic casing (OPU-4/1):
-- SS-11a line separator electronic circuit,
-- terminal strips for the passage cable connecting,
-- ”a”, ”c”, ”d”, ”0”, ”+” and ”a”, ”c”, ”d”, ”0”, ”+” line wires, connected to the terminal strips.
The embranchment strip with separator must be installed on the route of automatic line between the GTL/w device groups
supplied from different power supplies. It must be mounted with four M8 screws.
