KERALA AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY College of Agriculture, Vellayani, Thiruvananthapuram-695 522 Phone:0471-2388007 SP(1) 570/2015 Dated, 10 -2-2015 TENDER NOTICE Sealed tenders are invited for the supply of the following scientific equipments to the College of Agriculture, Vellayani as per the terms and conditions detailed below. Sl. No. 1 Items with Specifications TABLE TOP REFRIGERATED CENTRIFUGE: Nos. 1 Fixed angle rotor to hold 1.5 ml to 50 ml, temperature range from -9ºC to 40ºC. Swing out rotor should accommodate both round bottom tubes as well as falcon tubes, ability to spin 1.5 ml at 14000 rpm and RCF 20800xg, 15 ml and 50 ml round bottom & falcon tubes at 11000 rpm and RCF for 15ml falcon is 16000xg & 50m falcon is 16000xg with same fixed angle rotor, centrifuge timer should start after the set RPM reached, short spin key with selectable rotational speed, standby refrigeration for maintaining temperature when not in use, values can be changed during centrifugation, Fast temperature function for rapid cooling of the centrifuge, Program memory up to 34 numbers, Optional Microtiter plate bucket for spinning up to 16 MTP in a single run, Instrument should be supplied with following rotors like 30 position 1.5 ml rotor which can run at minimum of 14000 RPM, 6 position 50 ml rotor with aerosol tight lid which can run at minimum of 11000 RPM, Adapter for 15 ml falcon tube in the 50 ml rotor. Each tender should be accompanied by tender fee and Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) of 1% of the cost of the quoted items (subject to minimum of Rs.1500/-) by way of two crossed Demand Drafts separately for tender fee and EMD drawn in favour of the Dean, College of Agriculture, Vellayani payable at State Bank of Travancore, Vellayani (Branch Code:019).. Late and incomplete tenders and tender without EMD, tender fee and agreement will not be accepted. Firms who are exempted from the payment of EMD should furnish copy of the currently valid certificated from Stores Purchase Department, Govt.of Kerala. 4. The tender should be accompanied by an agreement in Kerala Stamp Paper worth Rs.100/- and format can be downloaded from the above website. Withdrawal of tender after its acceptance or failure to supply the items or not according to the specifications will entail cancellation of the tender. 5. The successful tenderer should execute an agreement in Kerala stamp paper worth Rs.100/- and furnish a Security Deposit of 5% of the cost of the items quoted in the form of Term Deposit /Bank Guarantee/Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Dean, College of Agriculture, Vellayani payable at the State Bank of Travancore, Vellayani(Branch Code:019) when directed from this office. The format of the agreement can be downloaded from the above website. 6. The items should be delivered at the site and the rate quoted for each item should be inclusive of all charges, taxes if any, and should be valid for one year w.e.f. the date of issue of supply order. 7. Period of firmness of the quoted rates/prices should be clearly stated in the offer. 8. Tenders will be opened in the presence of the tenderers who may be present at that time. 9.The Dean, College of Agriculture, Vellayani has the right to accept or reject any or all of the offers without assigning any reason.The decision of the undersigned in finalizing the tenders will be final and binding. 10 .The supply order will be placed subject to the approval of the University and availability of funds. 11.Tenders insisting payment in advance either full or part are liable for rejection. 12.On acceptance, the supply order will be placed and invoice should be addressed to the Dean, College of Agriculture, Vellayani. The payment will be effected only after the satisfactory delivery of the items at the College of Agriculture, Vellayani 13.The items should be supplied within 2 weeks from the date of receipt of supply order. 14.Payment as per the invoice will be made only after supply of the items as per specifications and tenderer is liable to replace the defective articles/rectify the defective items immediately on receipt of intimation. 15. The EMD/Security Deposits furnished will be forfeited in case the contract is not fulfilled as per the terms and conditions mentioned in the tender notice and agreement. 16.All the rules and regulations applicable to Government tenders will be applicable to this tender also. 17.
