means "dancing peacock" in Japanese. Leaves
resemble that of monkshood, Aconitum , hence
the cultivar name. Irregularly and deeply
dissected deep green summer foliage gives
excellent texture and a fern-like appearance.
Strong branching structure, layered appearance,
persistant leaves produce a long fall coloration
period, brilliant scarlet, sometimes into the
purple range.
