In late spring this shrub puts on a beautiful floral display. White
flowers about 1” in diameter completely cover the limbs, like a
mound of snow. The leaves are blue green in color and the
branches have an arching habit. You will want to follow a regular
watering schedule in its first growing season to establish an extensive root system.
The snowmound grows best in moist well-drained soils. However it
is tolerant of poor soils, heat, and urban conditions. Since this
shrub flowers in the spring do any pruning right after it has finished blooming. When pruning consider its arching habit and curb
your desire to go after it with hedge clippers.
