 Buccal cavity: Buccal cavity has a set of teeth, salivary glands and tongue.
 Pharynx: Pharynx is the food pipe.
 Larynx: larynx is the wind pipe through which air gushes in to the lungs. This is also called sound
box.
 Epiglottis: Epiglottis is the flap present at the base of the tongue. It prevents the entry of food to
wind pipe.
 Glottis: It is a slit (a long opening) to trachea (wind pipe).
 Bolus: Bolus is the round form of food.
 Peristalsis: is the rhythmic movement of food pipe.
 Ant peristalsis: is the reverse of the peristalsis.
 Cardiac sphincter: A cardiac sphincter is the entrance to the stomach.
 Pyloric sphincter: is the opening into the small intestine.
 Bile: Bile is a greenish yellow liquid secreted by liver is poured in duodenum.
 Villi: Villi are the finger like projections present in small intestine.
