Improve your Knowledge to be able to take care of your
own Wellness?

It all started with: “What can I do to be able to share information with people to help them cure their own
bodies from disease and sickness”
Biochemistry opened some doors but was limited with the basics of the 70’s. The discovery of glyconutrients
and their function in the body opened many doors. As more research was done a new era in the health world
is busy opening, even with the resistance of the pharmaceutical and healthcare profession industry.
The Wellness Continuum (below) opened a door to understand where the sickness and wellness industry fit
into the Healthcare and Wellness systems.
To the left of the Neutral Point is the sickness Industry with millions flowing towards the industry. To the right
we find the wellness industry where people take care of their own health because of awareness and
education. Most education came from observations of cultures that ate plant-based diets with lower rates of
certain types of diseases. Only recently the wellness industry started to educate the public to understand that
they have to take control.
Regulations and rules to protect the income of the sickness industry change regularly. The rules are structured
to categorize anything that treats or prevents disease as a drug. For this reason you are not allowed to say
that food can or did cure you from any disease. We however have a responsibility, as mentioned in Prov 18 v
9b of the Amplified Bible “…he who does not use his endeavours to heal himself is brother to him who
commits suicide.”
The body was designed by our Creator to maintain and restore health, all we need to do is give it the essential
nutrients it requires. Currently we find more and more diseases, common to the modern developed diet
patterns and get less organic (not genetically manipulated) fruits, vegetables, legumes and grains.
Thomas Edison (1847 – 1931) for see the change when he said “The Doctor of the Future will give no
medicine, but interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and the cause and prevention
of disease.”
More publications highlight the importance of new discoveries as mentioned in the newly published book,
Transforming Glycoscience A Roadmap for the Future
‘A new focus on Glycoscience, a field explores the structures and functions of sugars, it promises great
advances in areas as diverse as medicine, energy generation, and materials science. Glycan’s — also
known as carbohydrates, saccharides, or simply as sugars—play central roles in many biological
processes and have properties useful in an array of applications. However, glycan’s have received little
attention from the research community due to a lack of tools to probe their often complex structures and
properties. The committee involved with the research prior to the publication also find that they, glycan’s,
are directly involved in the etiology of every major disease.’
This discovery of how certain sugars attach either to proteins or to fats on the surface of cells to perform
functions vital for cell survival and for communication between cells (cell to cell communication) in the body
has given meaning to the words of Paracelsus (1483 – 1541)
“All that man needs for good health and healing is provided by God in nature; the challenge to science
is to find it.”
This was disruptive technology that is predicted to help trigger a one trillion Dollar shift from the Sickness
Industry into the new Wellness Industry.
New recent research also discovered and highlighted the importance of different phytochemicals. These
chemicals help plants to defend themselves against environmental challenges, such as damage from pests or
ultraviolet light. It also appears to provide humans with protection. Phytochemicals are thought to be
responsible for much of the disease protection in man which was granted by diets high in fruits, vegetables,
beans, cereals, and plant-based beverages such as tea and wine, according to a University of California.
Dan Burke, (Toxicologist and Pharmaceutical Metabolism Professor from University of Aberdeen) found an
enzyme called CYP1B1 (pronounced zyp one bee one) that is present in all cancer cells but absent in all noncancerous cells. In the process of developing a synthetic pharmaceutical compound that can kill cancer cells
without harming normal cells he came across a compound doing just that already existing in plants and fruit.
As a mainstream cancer researcher for more than 30 years, Burke knew he'd stumbled onto something big.
Dan Burke and his colleague Gerry Potter (Professor of Medicinal Chemistry) with a long history of developing
anti-cancer drugs, began preliminary research into creating a pro-drug. The two scientists got to the stage
where they knew the chemical structure needed to act with CYP1B1 as an anti-cancer pro-drug. The university
sold their research to a bio-tech company which is still developing a pharmaceutical pro-drug.
Because of the time involved to have a registered formulated product, Potter theorized he might find a natural
pro-drug in food and red wine. He found it in both where it served as natural anti-fungal defence mechanisms
in apples, blueberries, grapes, oranges, avocado, bell peppers and broccoli. He extracted the substances from
organic foods, and named the extract salvestrols and in his early laboratory tests found that salvestrols killed
75 per cent of the cancer cells (which is a cellular disease) and nothing of the non-cancer cells. This extracts
(salvestrols) are nutritional compounds that work on cellular level with all cells in the body. When they come in
contact with CYP1B1 enzyme, it unleashes a stream of chemical agents which kill cancer cells, but do not
harm any normal cells. The CYP1B1 is an intrinsic component of cancer cells, but absent in normal healthy
cells. The anti-cancer effect that this activation process brings about is caused by their metabolites which the
salvestrols (plant phytochemicals) generate in the human cancer cells and is not directly caused by the plant
chemicals themselves. Burke said he believes that the variation in the level of salvestrols, in the body, may
explain why some people get cancer and others don't.
Tests were done on foods which were supposed to be rich in ‘salvestrol’, they however showed low
concentrations or even nothing. Modern agricultural methods as well as the use of pesticides and the
processing of foods stopped the formation of its own protection product. Because the plants are already
protected, by the pesticides, the plants do not need anything else to survive. Sulphur sprayed on green leafy
vegetables also has less salvestrol. A 30% higher level was found in organic grown fruit and vegetables.

Due to modern farming practices less salvestrol is
found in our organic vegetables and fruits
especially genetic manipulated plants.
Cancers for which Salvestrols have been successfully used include the following. Brain, Breast, Bladder,
Colon, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukaemia, Hodgkin’s Disease, Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Lung, Liver, Prostate
and Ovarian Cancer.
What can we do?






Eat organically and encourage organic farmers to not use fungicides
Recognize that most perfect looking food has been sprayed - learn to appreciate that different shapes
and visual imperfections represent a food that has been tested by nature in nature, being able to
defend itself and survived to be healthy, with higher levels of phyto-compounds and glyconutrients,
making it better for us.
Buy heritage variety fruits and vegetables or buy the seed from Seeds of Diversity and grow them in
your own garden.
Making fresh juice from organic fruits and vegetables will provide a higher Salvestrol content from the
food we have today.(Must be from organic origin)
Use supplementation to be able to keep the body’s intercellular communication in good working
condition supplementing with the best neutraceuticals on the market from Mannatech (ADVANCED

Enable your body to get enough Real Food Glyconutrients and Phytochemicals to be able to defend
itself as it was created to do. Especially when you experience health related problems which can be
referred to as a cellular disease.

research. (www.salvestrol.ca). I however am a very strong believer in the redundancy principle and for this
reason recommend that a person with a health crisis uses glycan’s (carbohydrates, saccharides) as additional
products to support the body. This will help the body to have effective intercellular communication. Through
this communication it will enable the body to function properly as it was created to do.
Most people do not see food as a way to cure yourself however as science explore and discover more it give
meaning to the words in 1 Cor 1 27But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God

chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and
the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29so that no one may
boast before him.
