Pick ‘n Save Fresh Picks Mobile Market
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Pick ‘n Save Fresh Picks Mobile Market?
The Mobile Market is a partnership between Pick ‘n Save and Hunger Task Force, in partnership with Milwaukee County.
The team at Pick ‘n Save operates the day-to-day market operations including inventory management, stocking and
sales and Hunger Task Force schedules the store at senior housing, senior meal sites and food pantries across Milwaukee
County.
Why is there a need for a Mobile Market?
The Mobile Market is a grocery store on wheels that can travel to areas where there are not easily accessible grocery
stores. Many living in these communities have limited access to transportation, therefore food sources are limited. The
shopping opportunities for individuals living in these “food deserts” consist of convenience stores where there are fewer
healthy choice foods. The Mobile Market will allow for improved grocery store access into these neighborhoods
providing healthy food options at a grocery store price.
What does the Mobile Market sell?
The Mobile Market sells only fresh foods stocking 40+ seasonal fruits and vegetables as well as 10+ high demand meat
and dairy items. The shelves will feature items such as Wisconsin grown fruits and vegetables, milk by the gallon, butter,
yogurt, ground beef, pork sausage, ham and chicken. The market does not sell canned items, processed foods, paper or
household products, snacks, cigarettes or alcohol.
Where is the market schedule?
The Mobile Market operates Monday – Friday and features a rotating monthly schedule to visit locations throughout
Milwaukee County. For the current schedule, please visit picknsave.com/mobilemarket. Please note that stops are
subject to change and the market will not operate during snow emergencies.
How do I pay for my food?
The Mobile Market accepts debit cards, credit cards and Quest EBT. No cash is onboard or accepted. Hunger Task Force
FoodShare Outreach staff will help eligible people apply for FoodShare during market operating hours. Please note the
Mobile Market is an active store, not a food pantry or donation center.
Can I only shop at the Mobile Market if I have a Quest EBT Card?
The Mobile Market welcomes all shoppers. Please understand as a traveling market is not currently handicap accessible.
There are three steps leading into the market and three steps exiting and the shopping space is narrow. Hunger Task
Force will have a staff member present to assist with shopping or shoppers are invited to bring a proxy.
Are you a property manager and would like to request a visit? Do you have?

another event)

If your location meets these requirements and you would like to be considered for a stop, please send your name,
location and contact information to: [email protected].
