Greek Mythology Trading Cards GRASPS: Goal: Students will understand the different gods and goddesses (including demigods or monsters) of Greek Mythology by researching the internet and books to create “trading cards of mythological characters.” Role: You (and your partner) are a trading card collector(s) and store owner(s) in Greece. Audience: Fans of Greek Mythology. Situation: You (and your partner) notice an increase in the demand of Greek mythological trading cards. However, there is currently a low supply. You realize you are in a position to make a lot of money if you make and sell the cards yourself. Performance: - If you work with a partner, choose your partner wisely. - Research at least 10 Greek gods/goddesses. You can also research demigods and monsters. - Cite 2 sources used. - Create a trading card for each mythological character that includes: Front side of the Trading Card: 1. Name of mythological character. 2. Picture of the character in color. Back side of the Trading Card: 1. Description of what the god or goddesses is the god/goddesses of. 2. At least 3 other facts about the Mythological character. 3. Include at least 2 other pictures or graphics to illustrate the card and mythological character. - Index cards will be provided for you to use. - The very first trading card should include your name and pod. You may also color it and draw a picture of yourself. - To assemble cards, use a hole puncher and string.
