World War II From Start to Finish

PROCEDURE:
1. Study the two lists below.
The first list, EVENTS, lists some of the major events occurring from the outbreak of

The second list, DATES, list when the events happened (or, in the case of an
ongoing event, when they began). NOTE: the two lists do not match directly
across!

Use the event titles and the dates to create a timeline!
Be sure to follow all the rules of timelining.
o Show the events in the order that they happened (this includes two or
more events that may have happened in the same year).
o Represent time accurately; use the following scale
3 inches = 1 year
¼ inch = one month
o Locate events as accurately as possible within the year they happened.
One Year
The Next Year
Your timeline is to be illustrated in some manner.
o Build your timeline into your illustration, or
o Have separate small illustrations for each event, or
o Decorate your timeline page with one or more general illustrations
relevant to the topic.
