Student will be able to show that they know what the organs look like, where the organs are located, and what each organ function is by completing the PowerPoint by them selves at a computer station, and getting 2 out of the 3 quiz questions right. The class will go to a computer lab, where each student will be at his or her own computer station. Then the teacher will help them get started by reading the instructions of the PowerPoint to the students. Then the student will continue the PowerPoint by themselves and finish up by taking the quiz. This PowerPoint will mainly focus on children in the first or second grade. On the home page you will see ten boxes that each have the name of a different organ inside them. To view the information about the organs, click on one of the boxes. It will take you to the slide with information about that organ. Once you have viewed all the organ and think you are ready to take the quiz click on the quiz box. It helps you walk and move all parts of your body. Also it helps you control your emotions, like if you’re feeling happy or sad. Your brain is located in your skull which is inside your head. Fun Fact: Your heart is a little larger than your fist. Your heart pumps blood to all parts of your body. Your heart is located between your lungs in the center of your chest and a little to the left. Your lungs help you breath air in and out. Fun fact: Your right lung is bigger than your left. Your lungs are located at the top of your chest of both sides of your heart. The stomach is where all the food that you eat goes. It helps stores and break down your food so your body can use it. Your stomach is located just under your rib cage between your liver and large intestine. Your liver helps to turn fat into energy, and filter bad thing out of your blood. Fun fact: Your liver is about the size of a football. Your liver is located just under your rib cage on top of your stomach. Your small intestine helps your body to absorb nutrients that are in the foods you eat. Fun fact: Your small intestine is 20 feet long. Your small intestine is located between your stomach and large intestine. Its stores the waste from your food, and helps you use the restroom. Your large intestine is located around your small intestine and goes behind you stomach. Your kidneys filter bad thing and water out of your blood. Fun fact: your kidneys are shaped like beans. Your kidneys are located near the middle of your back just below the rib cage. Your skin helps to protect your body for the outside environment. It also helps your to maintain a constant body temperature. For example: helps to keep you warm when its cold outside. Your skin is all over your body. Fun Fact: your skin is your bodies largest organ. Your eyes help you to see color, and judge how far and close things are from you.
