PrBl#8 Species Impact By: Jaziel Munoz, Vinh Watkins, and Nestor Garcia Primary Succession Primary Succession takes place on land where their are no living organisms The first species to take hold in these kinds of areas are pioneer species which are linchens that would eventually die and create soil. Secondary Succession Takes place on areas that previously contain life and soil. The secondary succession does not have the same species as the primary succession because there's already soil on the ground. Example: Secondary Succession A plant is not growing as much as it could cause it is not getting enough sunlight because the taller trees are blocking it. All the taller plants are wiped out from the area, causing the other plants to grow and become the bigger plants. Time period
