Musical Alphabet Letters and Stories
Objective:
For this activity you will be writing a letter to a classmate. Within the
letter you need to include 10 or more words spelled using ONLY
LETTERS FROM THE MUSICAL ALPHABET (A-G). You will write these
words ON A MUSIC STAFF (5 lines/4 spaces), AS IF YOU WERE
READING MUSIC.
Getting Started:
It might be helpful you make a list of words spelled only using the
letters
A-G. See if you can continue the list. Here are some samples:
EGG
BEGGED
BAGGED
GAB
BAD
CABBAGE
Letter Requirements:
-Must use at least 10 musical alphabet words
-Must be at least 5 sentences long
-Must include the name of the classmate to whom you’re writing
-Must be signed by you at the end (For example, “Sincerely, Matilda”)
-All stories and letters must be school appropriate
WRITE AS NEATLY AND CLEARLY AS POSSIBLE! REMEMBER, MUSIC
NOTES WRITTEN ON THE STAFF MUST BE READ SIDEWAYS, LIKE
LETTERS IN A WORD.
