Environmental Laboratory Technician Classification: This is a Full Time permanent position, located in Juneau, Alaska. Admiralty Environmental is looking for a dynamic person to join the firm as an Environmental Laboratory Technician in our Juneau, Alaska office. This position will be responsible for supporting a variety of projects that include environmental sampling, laboratory analysis, and project management for a variety of industrial clients in the cruise ship, mining, and wastewater treatment industries. This is an excellent opportunity for an environmental professional to work with a well established and technically diverse firm on challenging environmental water quality issues. Key Duties: Planning and managing field sampling projects in coordination with the general manager (writing and preparation of sampling plans; coordination with and oversight of subcontractors and regulators; and environmental sampling of groundwater and wastewater); Working in field teams consisting of 1 to 3 members, emphasizing proper environmental sampling procedures and health and safety; Operating a remote mobile laboratory, for two- to three- week periods, in both domestic and international settings; Analyzing water samples and interpreting environmental chemistry data using laboratory instrumentation; Database management; Writing and preparation of reports and other technical documents; Interaction with clients and regulatory agencies; Assisting in developing presentations; and General office tasks and supervision.
