The Treaty of Versailles
• The Allies rejected Wilson’s plan and in the
Treaty of Versailles Germany will be
blamed for starting the whole war.
• Their army will be limited to 100,000 men,
they will not be allowed to build tanks,
submarines, nor have an Air Force.
• Germany will also be forced to pay
reparations or war damages to the Allies in
the amount of $33 billion.
• The Treaty of Versailles humiliated
Germany and left the German people with
a huge burning desire to get even with the
Allies.
• The US will take
a position of
isolationism
after the War,
refusing to get
involved in
world affairs.
