DANSKO PERFORMS 2015! Year End Shows Friday June 12th 7:00pm, Saturday June 13th 7:00pm, Sunday 14th 2:00pm TICKETS Tickets go on sale Friday May 1st and can be purchased in person at the Royal Theatre or the MacPherson box offices, by phone @ 250 386-6121 or online @ www.rmts.bc.ca CHAPERONES: Several parent chaperones are required for Junior level classes (4-10yrs). We ask that one parent from each child’s class volunteer to help. As a chaperone you must attend the spacing rehearsal to get familiar with the theatre and receive your class list. At the time of the performance, you are required to be at the theatre 45minutes before the show and sit with your group in the balcony. The chaperone is able to watch their child’s class dance from the side of the stage. If you are interested, please contact the chaperone co-ordinator Heather Beauvais via email [email protected]. We thank you in advance as this is an incredibly integral and important part of our production. *Please see the ON STAGE REHEARSAL schedule below. The times reflected are those of the REHEARSAL, NOT the time for your Year End Show Performance* ON STAGE REHEARSAL: It is very important the dancers are prepared for their performance. Our on stage rehearsal provides them the opportunity to get familiar with the stage, backstage areas, Green Room, (waiting room downstairs) theatre and if applicable receive chaperone information. Parents of children needing chaperones are encouraged to attend and dancers attendance is expected as this is the only dress rehearsal they will have. Each class will have approx 10 minutes of spacing on stage with their teacher while the lighting and sound technicians prepare the lights/sound for the run of our shows. We do ask for your patience as things can sometimes take longer than expected. Dancers must arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their “on stage rehearsal” time in full costume with hair and makeup done and will enter through the backstage door located on Blanshard Street. The backstage door is locked for security reasons and can be opened by entering our code 5678. The entry code is in effect from the beginning of our technical rehearsals on Wed June 10th, until we close after Sunday’s matinee. Once you have entered through the backstage door, proceed down the stairs and follow the signs to the house seats in the audience. Parents may sit in the audience during their child’s rehearsal, however are NOT permitted to take any videos or photos. We DO NOT have use of the front entrance and lobby area of the theatre during rehearsals. DAY OF SHOW: Performers must arrive 45 minutes prior to the show time with hair and stage makeup done. Dressing room space is limited therefore priority is given to performers with many costume changes. Be sure to write your name in ALL of your costumes, shoes and accessories. Leave jewellery, gum and valuables at home. Neither dansko or the Royal Theatre are responsible for lost or stolen items. All dancers will proceed to the balcony where they can sit and watch the show, with the exception of the first 5 dance numbers who will wait backstage. Out or respect for each other, please remember to be supportive and helpful to everyone who shares the stage during this fun and exciting weekend! Out of respect for the Royal Theatre and to show pride in being a part of dansko, please make sure you clean up after yourself, put all garbage in the appropriate places and take all belongings with you when you leave. NOTE: There will be NO regular classes during the run of our shows June 10 th – June 14th. Our dansko 2014/2015 Season will end after Sunday’s matinee performance.
