North Star Theatre Actor’s Contract
Welcome to the North Star Theatre Spring production. I am glad that you have chosen to audition for the
play. I would like to familiarize you with some policies before you commit to involvement in the
production. Parents and students must initial every number.
1. It is expected that you will attend all rehearsals unless excused in advance. Preexcused absences must be arranged by either written or verbal contact between
the director and parent/guardian. Messages sent via another person are not
excused. Actors may be recast at anytime if the director feels the actor is limiting
the ability of the cast to progress at rehearsal. S.I. _____ P.I._____
2. Lines are to be memorized by the deadline indicated on the rehearsal schedule. If
lines are not memorized, expect to write them for the act(s) not memorized and
submit them to the director the following rehearsal. Other ways of insuring line
accuracy may also be employed at the director’s discretion. S.I._____ P.I.____
3. Rehearsal is a time for fun while being focused on the task at hand. It is expected
that cast members will bring homework/school materials to rehearsals in the event
they are not needed for the rehearsal’s entirety. Above all, stay focused.

4. All members of the cast are expected to be passing all of their classes. If it is
found that a cast member is in academic jeopardy, they will either be placed on a
plan of assistance or be removed from the cast, on the director’s discretion.

5. Mrs. Heard reserves the right to cancel the production at any time. This would be
rare occurrence, but if a large amount of actors do not have the lines memorized
by a certain date or if there a large amount of drop outs, the play will have to be
cancelled. S.I.________ P.I.________
6. Students must have transportation available to pick them up at the scheduled time.
No Exceptions. If you do not have available transportation, or are repeatedly late,
you may be replaced. S.I.________ P.I.________
7. All members are to help clean up after each performance and may not leave until
notified. S.I.________ P.I.________
8. Each member is asked to donate $10 to help cover production costs if casted for
the play. S.I.________ P.I.________
