“Oklahoma” Artists! David Hurt graduated from Fairfield High School in 2014, and has since been in a number of community and professional productions involving La Comedia, Kings Island, and GHCT. He is thankful for the opportunities that past mentors and directors have led him to, and hopes to keep making them proud. David will be continuing his career at Kings Island, with a show opening in April 2016, and he hopes to begin attending school for musical theatre this coming Fall. Chelsey Cavender is honored to be part of this event. A graduate of Wright State University's Professional Actor Training Program, Chelsey earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2013 and has since worked professionally in the Cincinnati/Dayton area touring with The Children's Theatre of Cincinnati and performing with the Human Race Theatre Company. Chelsey is currently anticipating the completion of her Masters in Teaching this May through Mount Saint Joseph University and teaches kindergarten by day. Thank you to Mom, Dad, Shelby and Michael for your love and support Michael Wright is grateful to be singing as Will Parker alongside these talented singers and musicians. He is currently preparing for his role as Buckley in GHCT's Father of the Bride. His previous credits include Blood Brothers, Ragtime, Hairspray and Jesus Christ Superstar. Michael attends the University of Cincinnati where he studies electrical engineering. He would like to thank his friends and family for their love and support. Enjoy the show! Julia Bowen is a senior at Miami University where she is studying Zoology in pursuit of attending veterinary school. Recent credits include Susan Lawrence in Rotary Revels "Big" and Narrator in Encore Summer Youth Theatre's "Joseph...Dreamcoat." Julia is also a singer/dancer at Kings Island and will be performing there this summer. In her free time, Julia enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, horseback riding, and caring for the loves of her life, her horse and her Basset Hound. Julia wants to thank her friends and family for their love and support and she is excited to be a part of this wonderful experience. Rodney Neal would first like to thank Paul John Stanbery for bringing The HFSO Pops, Chorale and GHCT organizations together to collaborate on an evening of beautiful music. Rodney is very grateful to be directing OKLAHOMA! for GHCT in April. Rodney has a wide range of performance experience in both musical theatre and opera, including performances with the Tulsa Opera in Gianni Schicci, The Marriage of Figaro and Madama Butterfly. Rodney appeared most recently in The Mad Anthony Theatre production of Sondheim on Sondheim at the Fitton Center. Other roles include performances for Rotary Presents, Big the Musical and The Wizard of OZ as the Scarecrow, and Greater Hamilton Civic Theatre’s, A Christmas Carol and White Christmas. Currently, Rodney serves as the VP of Marketing and PR for Morning Star Technologies. In his spare time he enjoys coaching youth sports and spending time with his wife Angie and two kids.
