animal cells, or are some things different? What could possibly be
different?
DLT:
 I can describe the basic process of mitosis in order to
successfully complete a differentiated activity about mitosis
and the cell cycle.
 I can analyze the process of mitosis in order to correctly
identify cells in different stages of mitosis and correctly
complete a lab activity pertaining to mitosis.
Today:
1. Switch and finish work in groups
2. Mitosis Video with notes and video quiz
3. Modeling the Phases of the Cell Cycle Lab Activity
a. In groups
b. Use one piece of paper per group to draw and record all
information
c. Make sure all of your names are on this paper
4. Review lab results
Video Quiz:
1. The Stage of mitosis seen here is metaphase.
2. Chromatin shortens and thickens to form these distinct
structures called chromosomes.
3. DNA is replicated during the stage between cell divisions
called synthesis.
4. True, the division of the cytoplasm is cytokinesis.
5. The first stage of mitosis is called prophase.
