Olivet! Make a list of 10 of your spelling words in your word study notebook. Next to each word, use the Spelling Secret Code in the back of your word study notebook to write your words in code. Write all of your words, using a blue crayon, colored pencil, or marker for consonants and red for vowels. (Vowels are A, E, I, O, U, and sometimes Y – as in “cry”, where there are no other vowels.) Rainbow Words Visit www.geogreeting.com and type in your spelling words. When you are finished, send them to me as an e-card. Write Three Times Write your words in a rainbow of colors using colored pencils, markers, or crayons. In your word study notebook, write each of your spelling words three times. Write each word in your word study notebook and then write a word that rhymes with it. ABC Order Silly Sentences Fancy Letters Write all of your words in alphabetical order. Write a silly sentence for each of your spelling words. Circle your spelling words when you are finished to make sure you have used all of them. Use letters from old magazines, catalogs, or newspapers to spell your words. Glue them into your word study notebook. (Please note below if you need to borrow supplies for this activity.)
