contains sample articles of incorporation and details the requirements that must be included in articles

This should be the full legal name of the organization, such as “Vineyard of Anaheim, Inc.”

Each church may have a slight variation on this description. Additional examples of specific purposes are attached

**Additional Samples of “Specific Purposes”:
“To promote the proclamation of the gospel for the salvation of humankind, to provide shelter, nurture and spiritual
fellowship of the children of God, the maintenance of the worship of God, the preservation of truth, the promotion
of social righteousness, and the exhibition of the Kingdom of heaven.”
“To (a) operate a church and conduct church related activities to carry on the ministry of our Lord and Savior Jesus

10
The incorporator is usually the individual who prepared the articles of incorporation. This person typically resigns
after the corporation is fully formed.
11
The idea here is not to suggest one specific purpose over another, but to give an idea of the types of things that
may be stated in the specific purpose section. It may be one sentence or multiple pages, depending on the level of
specificity we need.
