WEB BROWSER FEATURES
1. Explain the following features of the web browser that you use.
Bookmarks (Favorites)
If an user visits a web page very often and he/she finds such a web page
useful, it can be bookmarked. This means that the specific web page is
saved and it can be chosen from a menu when the user wants to access
it.

the FAVORITES menu (if using Internet Explorer).

History
The Internet browser records the URL and the date that a web site is
visited every time that an user visits a web site. This is very useful if the
user wants to view a site that he/she previously visited but does not
remember the exact web address. Another advantage of this feature is
that the Internet usage on a computer can be tracked and traced.
How to view the history
o Open the web browser (Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer).
o Click Ctrl + H. The history of the web browser will be opened to the
left of the main browser window in most browsers.
o Click DATE to expand the folder and view sites visited.
o Right click DATE and click DELETE to delete the history.
Home page
The first page which is displayed when the web browser is opened, is
called the home page and has to be set in the web browser settings. The
web browser can quickly be changed to a favourite web site. The way in
which a home page is set differs from browser to browser.
