"SONJA RADOJKOVIC is a pianist who unites the most beautiful qualities: a volcano
temperament and a tender Slav soul" … are the words of Evgeniy Yakovlevich Liberman.
Born in Belgrade, she completed her piano studies at the Faculty of Music Arts under
Professor Igor Lasko who said about his pupil to be "A mature artistic personality with an
accomplished and flawless piano technique which is not the sole aim of the interpreter but in
service of music thought. She has a sense of fine, sophisticated performing ".
Two years after her graduation Sonja Radojkovic obtained her Master Degree at
Conservatoire "Tchaikovsky" in Moscow under Professor Yuriy Styepanovich Slyesaryev.
"To my knowledge, a very small number of our students succeeded to be admitted to the postgraduated studies at "Tchaikovsky", and what is more, to complete them"- commented on her
return from Moscow a distinguished academician Stanojlo Rajicic.
After her return to Belgrade, Sonja continued to study piano with Professor Arbo Valdman at
Faculty of Music Arts where she obtained her Master Degree too. "Sonja Radojkovich's
dedication to music is a complete one", gives his opinion Arbo Valdman. "In all her
appearances she approaches music with an open heart and great investigating verve. All her
interpretations have one common dimension: elasticity of her music, vividness, strong will,
complete sincerity. Her command of piano language and her erudition enable her to undertake
the most demanding musical tasks. Harmonious nature of her musical personality and rich,
outstanding abilities for piano playing speak of great potentials of this artist."
Sonja Radojkovic has been the winner of many national, republic and federal competitions. In
1993 she took part at Sergey Rachmaninoff Anniversary Competition with 57 best performers
of this composer’s works and she won in the category of performing a Rhapsody on Paganini
theme...
Sonja Radojkovic has an active soloist career. She has begun giving numerous solo concerts
as well as appearing with orchestras in Yugoslavia and Russia. Lately, she has been playing
twice a year at Concert Hall of Kolarac in Belgrade, and these appearances of hers attract a lot
of attention. The composer Slobodan Atanackovic says:" Her appearances show her
uncommon erudition, technical skill nearing musical works, both in piano and orchestra
literature. Her outstanding exuberant temperament marks a new sensibility and new era
dynamism. With diplomas from the best schools, with her talent, erudition and her brilliant
knowledge of piano technique Sonja Radojkovich is a new force in our music life."
She works at the Faculty of Music Art in Belgrade, Department of Conducting as well as a
piano professor in Sarajevo. Sonja Radojkovic is a member of the Association of Music
Artists of Serbia
