Alice the musical
Alice brings Wonderland to your doorstep!
Cambridge Touring Theatre are thrilled to announce that they will be bringing their
joyful, larger-than-life, musical adaptation of “Alice The Musical ” to some of the
country’s most prestigious and picturesque venues from June – August 2014 in an
explosion of mayhem and hilarity for all the family!
“… beguiling …beautifully judged …a joyous charm …completely
infectious.”
Logic is abandoned in this wonderfully interactive tale of childhood and imagination as
Alice and White Rabbit set off on an adventure like no other, meeting a host of wacky
and colourful characters along the way such as The Mad Hatter and his equally bonkers
companion, March Hare, Colonel Caterpillar and of course, the infamous Queen of
Hearts.
Filled with catchy songs such as ‘A Flea and a Fly in a Flu’, ‘Won’t you join the Dance’
and ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Bat’, this lively and funny performance is brought vividly to
life by a professional cast of highly experienced performers for families and includes live
music, dancing, audience interaction and a wide range of pranks appealing to both
children and adults alike.
“…Fantastic …perkily dramatized …catchy lyrics …engaging
…great fun!”
With adaptation by children’s playwright John Gardener (‘Rockasocka’, ‘Dracula
Spectacula’), and composition by Cambridge Touring Theatre’s resident composer,
Simon Humphreys, this year’s production promises to be the company’s biggest venture
to date. With Cambridge Touring Theatre’s trademark energy and inspiration audiences
have grown to expect and love, “Alice The Musical” will not disappoint and is
guaranteed to leave you smiling from beginning to end!
PRE-PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP
The company offers a 30 minute drama workshop before certain performances for
children aged 5-10. Here, children can be introduced to the characters from the story and
work on themed drama activities, songs and games. Please check the venue’s website for
more information and availability of the workshops.
