Orchestra Enrichment Classroom Presentation 1. Choose A Category a. Composer (any era including living composers) b. Performing Artist (a well-known violinist, violist, cellist, or bassist) c. Ensemble (Symphony Orchestra, Quartet, Chamber group, etc.) d. Orchestral Composition (ie. Beethoven’s 5th, “Jupiter”, “The Four Seasons,”etc.) 2. Specify your topic and Confirm with Mr. Schroter If you know which category you want to research but you are struggling on a specific topic, Mr. Schroter will help guide you. 3. Research your topic Use books and/or the internet. Make sure to cite your sources in your presentation. If using the internet, make sure to verify that your source is valid. 4. Make a presentation a. Your presentation should include audio or video b. Your presentation should be 7-10 minutes long (including audio/video samples) 5. Create a brief quiz to hand out to your classmates a. The quiz should have 5 questions b. Answers should be multiple choice - OR - short answer fill in the blank c. The questions should be written in the same order that you present your information d. Make the quiz size = half a page. Copy the quiz so you have 2 quizzes/sheet (to save paper) e.
