How to Determine Scale Factors / Graduated Cylinder Worksheet~
Scientific equipment can have numerous different scales. Determine the value for each line
on the equipment drawn below. Use the “three step” approach we learned in class:
Step 1: Subtract two “neighboring” numbers on the number line.
Step 2: Count how many spaces between those two numbers.
Step 3: Divide the difference by the # of spaces.
EX: 20 – 10 = 10
