eGateway EN - v.01 – Dec 14, 2015 DOCUMENT CONTENTS This document gives instructions on how to configure eGateway and how to configure Smartlink for working and communicating with th eGateway. The right configuration is needed to receive alarms. CONCERNED USERS The document contents are for technicians (engineers, IT workers, field technicians, installation designers, project managers, …...) involved in Smartlink and eGateway installations. DOCUMENT PURPOSES This document gives instructions to make a technician able to configure, and check the communication between Smartlink and the eGateway and to configure the eGateway. . WHAT DO YOU NEED To connect SmartLink with the eGateway you need a eGateway version that is upper than 5.2 and the Smartlink 2.1 version. 2. eGATEWAY CONNECTION The eGateway works with two networks: the network of the monitor and the Hospital network. This is the Architecture of the networks: For connecting the eGateway to Smartlink 2.1: • Configure Mindray Monitors To configure the Monitor IP click on Menu → Maintenance → User Maintenance → (Password 888888) → Network Setup. Set the same network of the eGateway Mindray network. (e.i 196.76.0.60). If a new version of monitor has to be connected with the eGateway, it is necessary to set the CMS or eGateway in Menu → Maintenance → User Maintenance → (Password 888888) → Gateway Communication Setting and set the IP. • Configure eGateway network card. Start with the eGateway in stopped status. Configure two network card: the first for the Hospital that has to be in the same class of the Smartlink Pc ( e.i 192.168.218.48) and the second has to be configured inserting two IP address in the same Mindray Pag. 3/9 eGateway– User Manual - EN - v01 - 2015-12-14 eGateway EN - v.01 – Dec 14, 2015 Network. After the configuration, check it making a PING for both the Mindray Monitor and Smartlink Server. • Configure eGateway L'eGateway needs all the whole privilegies. It is possible to set them in: C:\Program Files\Mindray\ For configurating eGateway software it is requested a tool that it is possible Pag. 4/9 eGateway– User Manual - EN - v01 - 2015-12-14 eGateway EN - v.01 – Dec 14, 2015 to find in: C:\Program Files\Mindray\eGateway\config\gatewayconfig.exe Launch the configurator and insert in the Monitoring Network --> CMS + Translator fields the Mindray IP and in the Hospital Network the Ip of the Hospital. CHANNEL CONFIGURATION • Alarm Channel For receiving alarms from a monitor it is necessary to open the eGateway and check if it is correctly configured (as in Configure eGateway ) Click on Service → Configure → (Password: service), and set the IP address of the monitor in the field Monitor Network, if there is only one monitor, or a range of IP if there is more than one monitor. Then click on Alarm to configure the Alarm channel: Pag. 6/9 eGateway– User Manual - EN - v01 - 2015-12-14 eGateway EN - v.01 – Dec 14, 2015 Insert the IP address of Smartlink and the correct port (7500) 1.Set the timeout: the time that it is necessary to wait before receiving the Acknowledge It must be 15 seconds. 2.Set the Maximum retries: the maximum of time that the eGateway try to send the alarm.It has to be set at 3. 3.Set as Primary Key Field Patient ID or Bed Number. These are mandatory fields,that has to be inserted for receiving the alarms. Note: if you don't set the variable Primary Key you aren't able to receive the alarms. Pag. 8/9 eGateway– User Manual - EN - v01 - 2015-12-14 eGateway EN - v.01 – Dec 14, 2015 For the alarm field you will find 'Connected to AM'. • Result Channel For receiving result from a monitor it is necessary to open the eGateway and check if it is correctly configured (as in Configure eGateway ) Click on Service → Configure → (Password: service), and set the IP of the eGateway and the correct port (7501) Note: Set in the Mode field : Solicited Server.
