Into the Eye 1. Photoreceptors transform light energy into electrical impulses. 2. Neurons cross over to left or right in optic chiasm. 3. Neurons continue into brain – 1st stop lateral geniculate nucleus. 4. Information passes thick group of long neurons called optic radiation. 5. Messages end up in the back of the brain at visual cortex. 6. Perception develops here and impact from both eyes is put together to form an image.
