Subject Line: Join the fight against pancreatic cancer with Pancreatic Cancer Canada

On November 17, a global coalition of survivors, celebrities, nonprofit leaders, elected officials
and medical experts will come together to raise awareness about one of the deadliest forms of
cancer, pancreatic cancer. Awareness is the first step in the efforts to demand more research
and develop better resources to fight the disease.

 Sixty percent of people know “almost nothing” about the disease, according to a recent
global survey
 Pancreatic cancer is the only major cancer with a five-year survival rate in the single

influencers have died from pancreatic cancer

About World Pancreatic Cancer Day
World Pancreatic Cancer Day (WPCD) is a day dedicated to raising global awareness of
pancreatic cancer and takes place in November during Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month.
WPCD is an initiative of the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition, a committee of patient advocacy
organizations from around the world. The goal of WPCD is to drive an online conversation
about awareness of the disease and the need for more research and funding to fight it.
About the Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation (PCCF)
PCCF is committed to fighting pancreatic cancer through raising funds for research, awareness,
education and advocacy. Our goal is to improve overall patient survival and create a brighter
future for those effected by pancreatic cancer.
To date, close to $4 million has been donated to leading cancer centres across Canada including
the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto, the BC Cancer Agency/Pancreas Centre BC and
the Goodman Cancer Research Centre at McGill University in Montreal, Cross Cancer Institute
in Edmonton and The Ottawa Hospital.
