Online Registration. STRADA Project Workshop: “Natural risk management in a changing climate: Experiences in Adaptation Strategies from some European Projects” – Milan, December 14th 2011 The STRADA Project Workshop “Natural risk management in a changing climate: Experiences in Adaptation Strategies from some European Projects” will take place on December 14th 2011, in the Home Room of the Civic Museum of Natural History in Milan. STRADA (Adaptation strategies to climate change for natural risk management in the trans-boundary territory) is an INTERREG IV/A Italy-Switzerland Trans-boundary Co-operation Project that focuses, as main issues, on the management of water resources and the management of hydro-geological hazards. The Workshop will take place from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. The STRADA project partners, together with speakers representing other European Projects (AdaptAlp, Alp-Water-Scarce, EU.WATER, FLORA, INARMA), will present different adaptation strategies, already established or in the process of being defined, to climate change with a special focus on water management. The day's purpose is to propose a very practical and operational approach, in order to provide local stakeholders, administrators and researchers not only the updated conceptual framework but also and foremost direct and immediate experiences applied in pilot areas over the Alpine range, Central Europe and South East Europe, with the discussion of their achievements, the difficulties they faced and the governance models they built. The participation is free. Download the programme of the Workshop. For the registration, click here. HOW TO REACH THE CIVIC MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY: Address: Corso Venezia 55, I-20121 Milan.
