Communication is often equated with speaking and writing and words are often viewed as the primary if not the only means by which information can be conveyed from one person to another. Non-verbal communication: It includes actions such as gestures, vocalizations, facial expressions, and other behavior. Communication by facioal expression, by tone of voice, by touch etc. comes under the category of non-verbal communication. Non-verbal communication is categorized into seven types: (7 marks) 1. Paralinguistics: It is a kind of complementary language which includes meaningful variations in speech corresponding to patterns of loudness, pitch, hesitation etc. 2.
