Community Resource Credit Union Structured Compensation Job Description Job Title: Department: Reports To: Supervises: VP Marketing & Bus Dev Marketing & Business Development President/CEO Marketing Director, Bus Dev Manager Effective Date: 01/2017 Grade: 13 FLSA: Exempt Approved By: President/CEO Role: Develops annual marketing and business development plans in support of organizational goals, leveraging MCIF and industry data to build member-focused communication strategies. Directs implementation, execution, monitoring and measurement of marketing and business development promotions and practices. Ensures marketing and business development communications are coordinated, support annual plans objectives and meet organizational expenditure requirements. Coordinates pricing and ROI forecasts for deposit and loan promotions with COO, CFO and the ALCO. Oversees and directs market research, competitor analysis and member service and retention monitoring processes utilizing MCIF. Builds, develops and manages marketing and business development teams capable of carrying out needed marketing and service strategies. Manages Marketing Director and Business Development Team to ensure economies of scale in coordinating the various department’s duties and responsibilities. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the President\CEO. Adheres to all policies and procedures. Adheres to Federal and State Laws and Regulations. Employee shall demonstrate an understanding of, and follow the requirements of all regulation compliance, including but not limited to those of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Customer Identification Program (CIP) and Member Due Diligence (MDD) as it specifically relates to their job functions. Employee shall be trained annually in BSA/AML compliance. Major Duties and Responsibilities: E (Essential) or N (Non-Essential) 35% Develops and implements strategic marketing and business development plans. Directs campaign planning and development processes and creates a compelling, consistent member branding experience. E 25% Aligns key seasonal messages to support marketing plans in order to provide a cohesive member experience. Develops integrated communication strategies to members and employees. E 25% Manages overall MCIF/CRM, email, social media and direct mail strategy. Oversees formal performance recap process, ensuring optimization of marketing spend and driving continual improvement on key performance metrics including profitability, retention, frequency, and response rates. E 5% Develops a strong personal presence and participates in community events and activities in CRCU’s field of membership. Coordinates CRCU’s community relations activities. Share extensive knowledge and experience with all members of the management team and the marketing and business development staff. Use strong organizational, planning and budgeting skills to support the organizational goals and objectives of CRCU. Use analytical and financial acumen to make sound business decisions based on expectations, facts and results of operations. Display strong written, verbal presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Exercise leadership and build consensus by executing skills in mediation, motivation and mentoring successful teams to carrying out organizational objectives. Knowledge & Skills: Experience: Ten or more years in financial services preferably in the credit union industry, with a concentration in marketing and/or business development activities. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Management or Business. Other Skills: High degree of analytical skills utilizing MS EXCEL, Word and PowerPoint. Experience in the use of MCIF, CRM and Symitar software desirable. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. Specific vision abilities required of this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions Work is performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to electronics work. May require periodic travel.
