VU-BLE-V1 specification VU-BLE-V1 Bluetooth module 1.summary VU-BLE-V1 4.0 Bluetooth module is a low-power wireless module, operating in the world-wide ISM frequency band at 2.400 to 2.485GHz, using the latest high performance and ultra-low power 4.0 wireless system chip nRF51822 from NORDIC Semiconductor in Norway. It’s communication distance has been greatly expanded with the professional design of Weiyou Intelligent Technology Co. Ltd. Lots of optimized matching debuggings has been done in RF section, so in function, the emission efficiency is highest and harmonic is minimum,and so that the interference with other devices has been reduced to the minimum. At the same time, the Bluetooth module is not easy to be disturbed by other equipment, the stability has been greatly improved. VU-BLE-V1 4.0 Bluetooth module is small in size and highly integrated which can be embedded in the products of limited space easily.With high sensitivity and low-power consumption, suitable for many types of products. Software is embedded in the module, when power on the pairing is automatic. In design, only a small amount of external circuits is needed to achieve specific functions. The antenna area of Bluetooth module should be as far away as possible from metal,and no traces in this area. Copper polygn, power supply traces should not go through the antenna area. Power management Except system ON/OFF mode, every function block has it’s own power management, it’s helpful to reduce the power consumption. b.DC/DC converter setup The nRF51822 DC/DC buck converter transforms battery voltage to lower internal voltage with minimum power loss. Used with a 3V coil-cell battery, the peak current drawn from the battery is reduced by approximately 25%. c.The Programmable Peripheral Interconnect (PPI) The Programmable Peripheral Interconnect (PPI) enables peripherals to interact autonomously with each other using tasks and events independent of the CPU. The PPI allows precise synchronization between peripherals when real-time application constraints exist and eliminates the need for CPU activity to implement behavior which can be predefined using PPI. (3)Bluetooth Protocol and Application Codes a.NRF51822 The storage of Bluetooth protocols and application codes are separated from each other. Developers only need to concern how to develop the application codes, do not need to acknowledge how to operate Bluetooth protocols. Only API parameters need to be configured to run the system. b.TI and CSR Only provide Bluetooth source codes. Developers could only modify the source codes, it’s hardly to program. Application codes and protocols are mixed stored in the same storage area will bring great difficulties to check out the root of the errors when programming. (5)Air-upgrade a.NRF51822 Only to download the application code upgrading.It’ll not affect the use of products If interrupted in upgrading. b.TI and CSR Bluetooth protocols and application codes are all need to upgrade. Products will not work if interrupted in upgrading. (6)Bluetooth Authentication a.NRF51822 Bluetooth protocols and application codes are independent of each other, and Bluetooth protocol’s certification is obtained, so only application codes need to be authenticated. If new codes released, only application codes need to be re-authenticated. b.TI and CSR Bluetooth protocols and application codes are all need to be authenticated. If new codes released, the two both are all need to be re-authenticated. Controlled by APP, transformation of various color and dimming could be achieved. When power on, pairing connection of Bluetooth between products and mobiles is automatic.
