USER INSTRUCTIONS OF ERNEST BLUETOOTH GATE
DESCRIPTION
ERNEST’S operation is based on Bluetooth pairing opportunities protected by
a three-level security system. When using the ERNEST application, your activities are
optimised, and the safety level and control over your home gates is increased. Ernest
Bluetooth Gate device is designed on a Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy base that ensures
ERNEST connection between devices and very low energy consumption.
Communication with the mobile application (iOS/Android) uses a 128-bit encrypted
signal, providing a high level of security.
INFORMATION
ERNEST Home complies to
(RoHS)’s respective standards, regulatory
documentation and is
labelled with sign.
The
crossed recycle bin indicates that electric and electronic devices after their
life
cycle shall be delivered to collection points according to European Union
(EU) directives.

INSTALLATION OF THE DEVICE ON THE GATE
We recommend installing the ERNEST device using a professional (certified)
electrician (preferably by an authorised cooperation partner of Valet and Knave Ltd).
The power chain of the device requires no fuse as it is already integrated into
the device.
The device has one integrated relay where the power may not exceed 0.5A.
There is no fuse in the relay chain; if necessary, it must be installed.

WARNINGS
Prior to installation of the device, please ensure that the gate is disconnected
from the electrical system.
If the gate or barrier, which is planned to connect the controller, cannot provide
the required voltages or currents, it must be accompanied by a separate power
supply, which will ensure it.
If any electrical malfunction or interruption has been experienced, Bluetooth
connection issues may occur in the device
GUARANTEE
The ERNEST device’s guarantee shall be for 2 calendar years (or 730 days)
from the time of purchase.
Based on the terms and conditions at ernestapp.com, in case of damage,
Valet and Knave Ltd shall not be responsible, if the device has been installed
incorrectly.
