(Switching times increase by a factor of twoor more for operation at 5V.) Overvoltage Protection Proper power-supply sequencing is recommended forall CMOS devices. Do not exceed the absolute maxi-mum ratings, because stresses beyond the listed rat-ings may cause permanent damage to the devices.Always sequence V on first, then V-, followed by thelogic inputs, NO, or COM. If power-supply sequencingis not possible, add two small signal diodes in serieswith supply pins for overvoltage protection (Figure 1).Adding diodes reduces the analog signal range to 1Vbelow V http://doc.guandang.net/bced53c530da80f26e0004bf8.htmland 1V above V-, but does not affect thedevices’ low switch resistance and low leakage charac-teristics.
