You will be creating a Power Point presentation to show to the class.
You will choose 1 god/goddess/figure of Greek legend and will need
to make a presentation that summarizes the story of them in
mythology. We will be selecting figures in class on January 5 .You
will need to work on this outside of class time (you are welcome to
use the class computers, but not during class time). Your
presentation should include a minimum of 8 slides (not counting a
title slide) and should outline any connections/genealogy that are
central to the character. Remember, you will be presenting this to
the class and want to have good information that can be used to
review (you will be graded based upon the rubric). To Meet Standard
Reading Schedule: The following are the readings for the week. It is
better to get these done early so that you can ask if you have
questions
Chapters 1 – 4: Pages 24 to 95
Composition – To Meet Standard: You will write a letter from one of
the twelve Olympians (the gods and goddesses on Mount Olympus)
that you read about this week, to either another of the 12, to a human
that they choose to get involved with, or to a lesser known god or
goddess. This should be creative and include details from what we
have read and covered this week, and should be about 1 page double
spaced. There is no rough draft of this, but we will go over proper
letter format in class.
