Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) seeks talented software engineers to join our Data Analytics team and conduct
world-class data mining and machine learning research focused on tackling large-scale computing challenges. QCRI offers a
unique opportunity for academic and applied research that cross-cuts the main focus areas, namely Arabic language
technologies including natural language processing, information retrieval and machine translation, data analytics including
data mining and machine learning, distributed systems, cyber security, social computing and computational science and
engineering.
We seek outstanding researchers and practitioners in all areas of data mining and learning, with particular focus on text
mining, heterogeneous/complex data, social media and graphs, data and information visualization, big data, bioinformatics
and health applications, and KDD frameworks (natural language, programming languages, systems, etc.).
Positions at QCRI:
Positions are available for Senior Software Engineers and Software Engineers, who will lead and be actively involved with
researchers in the analysis, design, development, and implementation of application systems developed in-house. Minimum
requirements are a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and a minimum of six
years (senior software engineer) or three years (software engineer) of progressive and directly-related experience.
