Students should have their own graphics calculator for this subject. Guidelines for determining Satisfactory Achievement (SA). To be eligible for an SA, students must achieve a satisfactory level of achievement for most of the assessment tasks. All tasks will count toward the school assessment grade. The weightings for assessment items are: approximately 50% for tests, 20% for the examination, while the remaining 30 % is for investigations and/or projects. Time allocations: For a Directed Investigation, a minimum of two hours work is typical, whilst for a Project a minimum of 4 hours work is typical. These tasks require personal homework contributions. Deadline Policy Where deadlines have been set, they must be kept. Work submitted after the deadline will receive a zero mark. If special circumstances mean that it is not possible to achieve a deadline, thus requiring an extension, this must be negotiated in advance. Missed tests must be attempted at the next available opportunity. I have read the assessment plan and understand its implications. Parent:………………………………. D:\582763720.doc Student::…………………………………
