LEO – Sign 12 in Book III
I.
LEO – THE LION
A. The lion represents Christ the King – Lion of Judah – refer to Revelation 5:5.
1. The lion signifies the most majestic of animals – Proverbs 30:30.
B. The principle star REGULUS means “The Feet Which Crush” – refer to
Ephesians 1:22 and Genesis 3:15.
1. The position of LEO is as he is about to crush the head of the serpent HYDRA
(the Water Snake) a serpent.
a. The Lion defeats and punishes the serpent in the final conflict.
C. Other principle stars in Leo are called:
1. DENEBOLA which means “The Lord Who Cometh With Haste”.
2. AL GIEBHA which means “The Exalted”.
3. MINCHER AL ASAD which means “The Punishing Or Tearing Of Him Who
Lays Waste”, the serpent - Hydra.
II. HYDRA – THE WATER SNAKE - destroyed.
A. He covers nearly one-third of the star map (one third of the heavens) – refer to
Revelation 12:3-4.
1. This shows Satan, the devil, in the last days in battle just prior to his defeat.
2. It also shows that Satan had influence over one third of the angels who are
called the heavenly host.
III. CRATER – THE CUP OF WRATH.
A. Notice this cup of wrath is on the serpents back – Revelation 12:12.
1. As Satan is cast down to earth, the wrath of God is then poured out on him,
on the earth and Satan’s followers.
IV. CORVUS – THE RAVEN – bird of prey.
A. The Raven is a bird symbolizing destruction.
1. He is a carnivore who consumes the decaying , rotting flesh of corpses.
a. This signifies Armageddon – refer to Revelation 19:17-18.
b. The Ravens (fowls) clean up after the Lion’s victory over the serpent.
i. Look who the raven is feasting on.
SUMMARY – LEO:
This last sign shows the return of Christ at Armageddon.
His final defeat and victory over Satan and unrighteousness.
He is coming as King to set up His Kingdom and will rule with all authority.

AQUARIUS – The Water Bearer – result of Christ’s work
PISCES – The Two Fish – Christ’s work enjoyed
ARIES – The Ram – Prophesied deliverance fulfilled
Book III: Christ’s Final Victory
TAURUS – The Bull – Prophecy of coming judgment
GEMINI – The Twins – the Redeemer’s reign in glory
CANCER – The Crab – the Redeemer’s possession secured
LEO – The Lion – the prophesied triumph and victory fulfilled
The positioning of the stars tell this story only to earth. The same stars viewed from
other planets or solar systems do not line up the same way to form these illustrations. The
repetition of the signs is to allow all the earth to get the same message regardless of which
hemisphere they view the sky from.
God never intended for mankind to worship the stars or any such heavenly body or
illustration. God intended man to learn from them of His glorious plan of redemption for
all as stated in Psalm 19!
