Bio 135 Lab Cardiovascular system: Objectives: o Learn the structure and function of the heart components of the heart. o Learn the major vessels of the cardiovascular system o Learn about blood and blood typing. Pre Lab Activities: o Go to the virtual lab and complete materials associated with this lab. Heart lab activity Blood typing lab activity Vessels lab activity Related activities in class : o View video on heart dissection. View pre-dissected hearts and models to familiarize your-self with the structures of the heart on pages 350 and 351 of your text. o View model of vessels and compare to images provided to identify major vessels o Perform blood typing exercise in lab with instructor guidance. Complete the handout provided and return during next weeks class. You will be tested over the identification of the structures, vessels, and over blood typing during lab exam two.
