Use with 120, 277, 347V. Not available with Multi-tap ballast. In-line fusing isolates faulty luminaire from circuit. Externally accessible. DF Double Fuse. Use with 208, 240, 480V. Not available with Multi-tap ballast. In-line fusing isolates faulty luminaire from circuit. Externally accessible. EC Emergency Circuit. Factory-installed, double-contact, bayonetbase quartz socket with socket leads for use with separate external emergency power system. (See chart at left.) (150W maximum on acrylic opticals with lensed bottom.) HA High Ambient. Allows the industrial luminaires to be operated in high-ambient temperatures. TX-A30, TX-A26, TX-A20, TX-A23, TXA165: 55°C; TH-A14, TH-A15, TH-A16, TH-A17, TE, TPG, TPGE: 65°C. QRS Quartz Restrike System. Automatically switches 120V quartz lamp on if there is a power interruption or brownout significant enough to cause the primary HID lamp to drop out. The 120V quartz lamp stays on until the HID fixture restrikes. QRS does not energize during cold start of HID luminaires. Wiring for the quartz lamp is internal to the ballast assembly; the 120V required to operate the quartz lamp is supplied by the ballast. Wattage of quartz lamp should not exceed that of HID source. (See chart at left.) (150W maximum on acrylic opticals with lensed bottom.) QRSTD Quartz Restrike System Time Delay. Functions as does QRS, but 120V quartz lamp energizes under hot and cold starting conditions. Quartz lamp will come on when luminaire is energized and remain on for two minutes after start-up or restrike of HID lamp. Wiring for the quartz lamp is internal to the ballast assembly; the 120V required to operate the quartz lamp is supplied by the ballast. (See chart at left.) (150W maximum on acrylic opticals with lensed bottom.) MOUNTING/HOUSING OPTIONS Shipped installed TOB Through-Wire Outlet Box. A combination outlet box and splice compartment. Permits entry of 1-1/4" or 3/4" rigid or thin-wall conduit through easily-removable knockouts. TOB may be suspension or surface mounted. Height 2-7/8"; width 4-1/2". TOBP Through-Wire Outlet Box Plug-In. Provides plug-in flexibility of conventional power hook and reduces overall height. Female receptacle part of TOBP box. This new lamp/ballast combination increases lamp lumens and lamp life. Ideal opportunities exist for applications such as warehousing, assembly, and retail areas. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The LLRPSL is comprised of a single-coil ballast, ignitor, and capacitor for lamp stabilization. Ballast – Available in 277V only. A +/-5% line voltage fluctuation results in a lamp wattage regulation of +/-10%. Operates lamp at a crest factor of 1.50. Unlike probe start CWA ballasts which rely on a high crest factor to start the lamp (typically 1.60), the LLRPSL system uses a pulse ignitor. Because the lamp current is closer to a true sine wave, less stress is placed on the arc tube electrodes, resulting in smoother lamp operation. Consistent color over lamp life. The LLRPSL ballast circuit operates the lamp more gently than a standard CWA circuit. When it is necessary to supply a Quartz restrike option, use a SCWA system. Lamp – Hot restrike times of less than 4-6 minutes. Because the starting of the lamp is accomplished through a pulse ignitor, the normal cool-down period before re-ignition has been substantially reduced. LISTING UL Listed and CSA component listed. ORDERING INFORMATION Add LLRPSL after voltage in options part of master catalog number. Add MP after lamp designation for O (open) rated EX39 exclusionary lamp socket (175 only). Dedicated metal halide lamps for use on the RLB system have been optimized to take full advantage of the operating parameters of the ballast. The system is ideal for heavy industrial applications with three-shift operation and where line dip and brownout tolerance is a must. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Ballast – Available in 120V, 208V, 240V, 277V and 480V. In Canada, available in 120 and 277V. For other voltages, consult factory. A +/-10% line voltage fluctuation results in a lamp wattage regulation of +/-10%. Operates lamp at a crest factor of 1.60. The SCWA system uses a pulse ignitor. Because the lamp current is closer to a true sine wave, less stress is placed on the arc tube electrodes, resulting in smoother lamp operation. Consistent color over lamp life. The SCWA ballast circuit operates the lamp more gently than a standard CWA circuit. Lamp – Hot restrike times of less than 4-6 minutes. Because the starting of the lamp is accomplished through a pulse ignitor, the normal cool-down period before re-ignition has been substantially reduced. LISTING UL Listed and Canadian Component listed. ORDERING INFORMATION Add RLB after voltage in options part of master catalog number. A +/-10% line voltage fluctuation results in a lamp wattage regulation of +/-10% for 175W and +/-6% for 150W. • Operates lamps at a crest factor of 1.60. Unlike probe start CWA ballasts which rely on a high crest factor to start the lamp (typically 1.8), the SCWA system uses a pulse ignitor. This new lamp/ballast combination increases lamp lumens and lamp life. Ideal opportunities exist for low mounting applications such as general manufacturing, assembly, and retail areas. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The SCWA is comprised of a two-coil ballast, ignitor, and capacitor for lamp stabilization. Ballast – Available in 120V, 208V, 240V, 277V and 480V. This high power factor system (+90%) is designed to optimize energy savings while providing good lamp regulation. This new lamp/ballast combination reduces input watts and increases lamp lumens and lamp life. Ideal opportunities exist for industrial or commercial applications such as warehousing, assembly areas, retail establishments and recreational facilities. BALLAST / LAMP SYSTEM • Available in 120V, 208V, 240V, 277V, 347V and 480V. In Canada, available in 120V, 277V and 347V. For other voltages, consult factory. • Good lamp regulation. A +/-10% line voltage fluctuation results in a lamp wattage regulation of +/-10%. • Operates lamps at a crest factor of 1.60. Unlike probe start CWA ballasts which rely on a high crest factor to start the lamp (typically 1.8), the SCWA system uses a pulse ignitor. Because the lamp current is closer to a true sine wave, less stress is placed on the arc tube electrodes, resulting in smoother lamp operation. • Hot restrike times of less than 4 minutes. Because the starting of the lamp is accomplished through a pulse ignitor, the normal cooldown period before re-ignition has been substantially reduced. • Consistent color over lamp life. The SCWA ballast circuit operates the lamp more gently than a standard CWA circuit. A lower number of starts over life results in less blackening of the arc tube wall. • No “End of Life” cycling. This phenomenon, a characteristic of high pressure sodium lamps, does not occur in Metal Halide. This makes it easy to identify lamps in need of replacement. • Listing.
