This is achieved with multi phase speed controller technology associated with 'Electric gears' (EG). The new EG speed controller technology is practical for all electromagnetic motors and generators. The introduced Electric Gears technology includes: Wide Efficiency Range Technology (WERT) Universal Voltage Operation (UVO) Modular Multi-Phase Operation (MMPO) 2015-09-16-3 Quantum Electric Ltd. The prototype synchronous permanent magnet motor was used for measuring and testing Modular Multi-Phase Operation with Electric Gears. It has: rotor with twenty permanent magnets six sets of modularly replaceable phase coils on an axial flux configuration For tests, it was connected first for 3-phase operation, and next for 6-phase operation for comparison. The motor frame was built to allow rotating these two 3-phase coil sets so that their phases overlapped to create a 6-phase drive for Modular Multi-Phase Operation measurements.
