Intro and Advanced Computer Graphics Computer Graphics curriculum is designed to instruct the student in the use of the computer as an artistic and graphic tool. The computer will be used to teach design, perspective, symmetry, typography and animation. This class will prepare the student for further studies Graphic Communication, Web Design, Computer Animation, Pre Press setup and Page Layout Design. This will include group and individual problems and projects designed to motivate the students using hands on and real work scenarios. Computer Graphics objectives At the completion of the courses the students will be able to: Start and stop the computer and use the OS properly to access programs. Use keyboard and mouse in combination to manipulate programs. Save and recall graphics from network. Demonstrate the difference between Bitmaps and Vector based graphics. Use network to access other types of files. Use Internet to access other types of files. Create graphics using a variety of software. Recognize and apply art elements and principals to graphics. Create web pages using HTML and editing software. Develop a resume using HTML. Use original graphics in web pages. Recognize good web design. Use the computer to animate words and objects Create animations for use on the Internet. Recognize and appreciate contemporary Computer Art Apply historical examples of design solutions to their own design problems Design Webs, Flyers, and other Publications set in a work environment. Display their work using hard, soft, web, CD, and video technologies. Use a variety of technologies including WWW, video, digital images, scanners, computers and computer networks.
