Islamic Aqidah Lesson 1 - Questions
The Aim of Aqidah of Tawid is develop a clear understanding of the Unity of Allah (subhana Wa Ta’ala)
the guidance of Allah (subahana wa Ta’ala) through his prophet and books, His angels, the life after
death and accountability on the Day of Judgement.
Aqidah of Tawhid: What is Islam and Who is a Muslim?
1. What is Islam?

3. How does a Muslim submit to Allah? (subhana wa Ta’ala)
4. This statement of a Muslim’s belief is called?
Since we know the above to be true, it follows that the message brought by Prophet Muhammad (Salla
Allahu alayhe wa salam), the Quran, is Allah (subhana wa Ta’ ala) final and perfect guidance for
humankind. Therefore, in order to be successful in this life and in the Hereafter, one must study and live
by the teachings and lessons of the Quran.
In the Quran, we find prescribed methods of worship and the fundamental laws of life, as Allah (subhana
wa Ta’ ala) intended them. Every aspect of our lives is guided by these basic principles. When we have a
question of find ourselves in danger of following the wrong path, we should turn to prayer and guidance
of Quran.
As Muslims, we should learn our role in this life through the example of Rasulullah (Salla Allahu alayhe
wa salam) documented in his words (HADITH) and actions (SUNNAH). In fulfilling this role, we should
strive to become a practical example for our fellow Muslims as well as for all of humankind. If we make a
mistake, we should repent at once and try not to repeat our wrong-doing. This is the meaning of
submission to Allah (subhana wa Ta’ ala). The Quran and the Sunnah teach us what righteous belief is
(Aqidah) and describe the actions to enhance our belief. Allah (subhana wa Ta’ ala) tells us that He and
our fellow human beings have certain rights over us, and we must consider it our duty to fulfill them.

Aqidah-belief. The Quran and the Sunnah teaches us what righteous belief is (Aqidah) and
describe the actions to enhance our belief. Aqidah a set of belief or principles a person accepts
or consider indisputable. “concepts by which there is no doubt Aqidah”. We(us) have a
convenant with Allah FITRAH (a natural inculnation to seek Allah).
