The policies and disciplinary procedures stated in the Hartselle City Student Code of Conduct will be
strictly enforced in this class. If you chose to violate a rule or procedure it will result in a teacher/student

assignment, or classroom dismissal. A third violation will result in immediate Administrative referral.

The attendance policy of HHS will be followed in this course. Students are responsible for making up
work missed due to any class absences.
1. Upon returning to class, the student must retrieve their assignments from the class make-up folder.
2. The History Department allows students the opportunity to make up tests missed due to any class
absences. See Mrs. Martin to schedule a day and time to make up any tests.
3. You have a day for each day you were absent to complete class work and homework.
4. Any long term assignments (projects, papers, etc.) that you missed are still due on or before the day of
your return.
Parental Notes:
It is essential that I maintain excellent communication with parents. Please email me if you have any
questions or concerns. I will respond as soon as possible. I encourage you to use INOW. It is a wonderful
resource that helps you stay up to date with your child’s progress. Parental support is a vital part of your
child’s education. In my classroom we utilize Remind101 which sends reminders to students and parents
of assignments and test dates. You may sign up using your cell phone using the following instructions:
