Capitulo 7- Proyecto
Honors Assignment (100 puntos)
Nombre____________________
This is a cultural project that will allow you to examine recreational activities in Spanishspeaking countries. The project will assess what you have learned in Chapter 7 and will be
instead of a test.
Choose between two project options:
1. Exotic beaches in the Caribbean, Central America, South America, or Spain
Narrow your topic down to beaches in one country, city, or town
2. Actual skiing and snowboarding resorts in the Andes or Spain
Narrow your topic to skiing or boarding in one particular ski resort
You will produce a two-page paper on either topic above. The first paragraph of the paper
will be written in Spanish and the remaining page and half will be in English.
In the Spanish section of your paper, you will pretend that you actually traveled to the place
and describe where you went and what you did. Here, you will use:
 at least eight different past tense -AR verbs
 the irregulars "ir and ser" in the past tense at least three times
 at least five different past tense signal words
 at least one -gar, one -zar, one -car verb
 at least three examples of direct object pronouns
 at least ten words from Chapter 7 vocabulary
The English section of your paper will include some basic facts about the country where
your vacation destination is located. Here, you will tell the most interesting facts about your
location and why everybody should come to visit it. Also, mention how much it would cost to
fly to these places and what one could expect to pay on lodging, food, and entertainment.
Then, you will present your findings to the class by giving a brief summary of your
Spanish paragraph in Spanish. Next, you will summarize your paper in English while
providing some kind of visual to the class through a power point slideshow or a poster board.
Your presentation should run about five minutes.
Other notes:
Also include a list of sources that you used
Do not type in English sentences into Google translate or other translators and pass them off
as your own writing. This is plagiarism.
Also remember to paraphrase your sources when writing the English section of this paper
