Priya Desai, MD, MBA Certified to Perform
Trabectome
Priya V. Desai, MD, MBA was recently certified to perform the Trabectome.
Trabectome is a minimallyinvasive glaucoma surgery that targets the
drainage system (the trabecular meshwork) inside the eye to reduce eye
pressure. The Trabectome lowers intraocular pressure by increasing the
drainage of fluid inside the eye. This surgery can be paired with cataract
surgery or can be done as a standalone procedure for mild to moderate
glaucoma. Dr. Desai is offering this surgery to her glaucoma patients.

Personal Message from Dr. Matossian
Nora is getting married this August! Many of you
used to get updates about our daughter, Nora,
when she was young and when we used to have the
paper version of our patient newsletter. We are
busy planning a wedding for this summer in the
Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania where we have
a rustic cabin on a small pond. It will be an
informal destination wedding for the weekend
with BBQ, S’mores and a fire pit. I will share some
pictures with you after the wedding. Please keep
your fingers crossed for good weather.
