平成 26 年 9 月 1 日 1 September, 2014 大学院学生各位 To All Graduate Students 平成 26 年度 基盤医学特論 開講通知 Information on Special Lecture Tokuron AY2014 題目:What do synapses learn from stress? Title 講師: Dr. Jaideep S. BAINS Teaching Staff: Professor, Physiology and Pharmacology, University of Calgary Hotchkiss Brain Institute 日時:平成 26 年 9 月 16 (火) 17:00-18:30 Time and Date: 16th September (Tue), 2014 17:00-18:30 場所: 名古屋大学 環境医学研究所 Room: 北館セミナー室 Research Institute of Environmental Medicine, North Building, N201 The physiological response to stress requires coordinated behavioral and visceral responses. The latter rely on the release of corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH) from the terminals of neurons located in the paraventricular nucleus (PVN) of the hypothalamus. The long-term effects of stress on the brain and subsequent impact on behavior have been explored extensively. More recently, we have started to address how synaptic inputs control the activity of PVN neurons and how stressful experiences can alter these synapses. These new findings reveal unique forms of synaptic plasticity in which the rules of information storage are tightly linked to the physiological state of the organism. *関係講座 部門等の連絡担当者:環境医学研究所・神経性調節学 山中章弘(3864) Contact: Akihiro Yamanaka (3864) 使用言語: 英語 *事前連絡は不要です。Lecture in English.
